Decor Obsession: Emerald

Hi Everyone!!

Happy Friday!  Have I mentioned yet how much I love you guys and how much I love emerald.  When Pantone first announced it at the color of the year I quickly touched on how I adore it in general, but I really really really love it in interiors and specifically when used it unexpected and/or fun ways. Its huge this season and very on trend.

Me and emerald go way back, y'all.   We go back like babies on pacifiers, except my mom said I never actually took a pacifier.  Emerald is the color of power and royalty and beauty and its my birthstone to boot!  That's right folks, I'm a May baby.  Fellow Taureans stand up!  Anyway...here are some pretty awesome spaces that feature this awesome jewel tone.

Hello malachite!  How I adore thee. I'm planning a little DIY featuring a malachite effect.

Man that's some good stuff. Don't worry mint, you still have my heart, too, but I will definitely be incorporating emerald into my home decor somehow.  Will you? Until next time.....

  2. Green is my new favorite accent color too, err I mean emerald! Whether it's a painted piece of furniture or a healthy plant, I love the pop of color it adds to the room. Enjoy your weekend!

  4. I love your blog. I'm glad I stumbled across it. My favorite green is actually a little softer... sage. I'm doing my living room in touches of it.

    1. Hi Dee! Thanks so much for stopping by. I like sage as well. I actually really love all shades of green...from lime to chartreuse, and of course emerald. Hope you come back soon.
