Design Obsession: Kilim

Hi Everyone!
Happy Thursday!  One more day, guys, one more day.  The weekend is right around the corner which means I can finish what I started this past weekend.  Here's a little sneak peek at the craziness Ive gotten myself (and poor Naomi) into this time...

Yes, my friends those are BLACK walls and I'm so in love with them.

Enough about me and my crazy antics.  Today I present another edition of Design Obsession which was inspired by this

Seriously...there are no words.  I'm so incredibly ridiculously obsessed with kilim.  Whether in the form of a rug, pouf, throw, or pillow, I think it just adds such an amazing visual layer to any space.  To me it just screams "well traveled ".  Even if you've never been any further than your nearest grocery store, you put some kilim in your space and you'll be fakin it til you make it.  Oh and if you've seriously never been any further than your local grocery store, please change that.   I especially love the vivid, punchy colors in the rug above.  Something like this would just SIIIIIIING in the room with my beautiful black walls.
You know who has THE MOST AMAZING kilim ever?  The amazing Jamie Mears of Furbish Studio. Don't tell me I didn't warn you.  And while you're at it you should totally check out her blog.  Again, I warned you.
Oh don't mind me.... Ill just be planning my stealthy escape from the bank I'm gonna have to rob to afford one of these beauties anytime in the near future.  In the meantime here's a little moodboard I created of some other kilim goodness.
So tell me...do you like kilim as much as I do? Until next time....
