Happy Monday! Today's edition of my Design Obsession series is one I'm really excited to feature. Lately Ive started to become more and more drawn to casual spaces. There's something quite appealing to me about spaces that are imperfectly perfect. While I can definitely appreciate a space where a lot of thought has been put into the placement of every vase, books are arranged by the color of their spines, and art hangs in straight rows evenly across the wall, I just love the spaces where books are placed on a bookshelf randomly and art leans against walls. I think the following spaces make a really good argument for casual living.

The spaces are awesome but what draws me to them are the white walls. I've been loving white walls lately ;) I think my husband would loose it though if I'd paint all the walls white now
ReplyDeleteHi Julia! I really like the look of white walls, but i could never actually love in them. No matter how layered the space is it would always just seem unfinished to me. Maybe you can start off with a small space like a reading nook or powder room. He might like it more than you think! I loved your bookcase redo, by the way.
