Hi Everyone!
Holy smokes guys. So I'm laying across the bed checking emails when suddenly it hit me: January is darned near over. Clearly this is not life altering news, but it did dawn on me that my blogiversary is sometime this month. That's when I checked the calendar and realized it has already passed! Seriously Shavonda......Oops, my bad!
So yes, January 10th was my two year blogiversary. I can't believe I let it pass by without acknowledgment. But what's more is I can't believe I've been blogging this long! When I first clicked the publish button two years ago I had absolutely no expectations. I didn't even think anyone other than my sweet Naomi would ever even read it! I'm still baffled to be honest.
I really just needed an outlet. I'm the only one of my friends or family who has a creative mind, so I always felt alone. Poor Naomi really couldn't take too many more of my rants about the latest décor trends or which pillows I thought would be perfect for the sofa. Plus, my family lives on the other side of the U.S. so having the blog would give them a way to pop in and stay connected to us all the way on the west coast. I had no idea it would prove to be so much more.
This past year has been truly incredible and I've been blessed with many wonderful opportunities. Its been so nurturing to my soul to be connected to design and with other creatives. I love it so much, and I'm so thankful to have you all to interact with. Thank you all so much for your constant support and for giving me a reason to keep clicking the publish button. I'm looking forward to another amazing year of opportunities, new adventures, and of course, lots of color!
