I'm winning the blank wall battle guys!
I recently picked up this great vintage mirror at an antique faire and decided it would be perfect for the space above the mantle. I've always loved the eclectic look of vintage mirror collections and I knew I wanted to find a way to incorporate one into our home somehow. I added a round mirror I've had for sometime and the curvy one is from Target. I'm not sure this will be the final arrangement, and I know it will constantly evolve as I add to it, but I'm liking the direction its heading.
This space is still far to blah for me right now. I hate the boring beige tiles and I've never been a big fan of the mantle either. I'm feeling like it needs something a bit dramatic? Maybe a cool floor to ceiling wall treatment? I'm sure I'll figure something out.
Until next time....

I love the mirrors...great shapes! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty lines to those mirrors. You actually have me thinking of a post idea now... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat combo of shapes!
ReplyDeleteThe mirrors are fantastic! The shapes work lovely together!
ReplyDeleteYes Yes Yes! I was thinking about doing something like this in my breakfast nook area. I LOVE the way it looks in your space and I can already see how it will evolve. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love this look too! I'm thinking about doing something similar in my mom's guest room.
ReplyDeleteWhat about replacing the white mantel with a rustic wood mantel or beam? (It would totally change the whole feel, even if you kept everything else exactly the same.)
ReplyDeleteAnd I absolutely love the mirrors. Gorgeous!
So glad I found this blog! I think we are going to have a lot of good times together. Okay, so here's my question...probably a dumb one, but...not all the mirrors look like they have hooks on the back - do they, and if not, how did you get them to stay on the wall? I can't wait until I get a house so I can try cool stuff like this.
