Modern & Fresh Fall Home Tour

Hi Everyone!!!

Guess what day it is?!!  Yes, it just happens to be hump day as well, BUT more importantly it's my turn to welcome you all in for the Modern & Fresh Fall Home Tour!

Lindsay and Kristen completely outdid themselves when they pulled together a ton of fabulous bloggers to show off how fall is done in their neck of the woods. These last 29 days have been filled with amazing interiors and truly inspiring spaces. Its been so fun to see how differently everyone embraces the season in their homes.  Yesterday my super gorgeous and equally talented friend, Lakeitha, shared some tips on how to make your home modern and fresh this season.  I loved her incorporation of plum and pattern into her décor this year.

Now ya'll know how much I looove leopard!  Lakeitha, you should totally send me that pillow chica, and while you're at it, go ahead and throw in the Amelia, too!

Ok so before we get into the tour, I have a confession...I don't actually like fall! I know, I know. Sssshhh, don't judge. To be honest,  I actually kinda resent fall a little bit.  My favorite season is Summer so once fall comes I have to face the sad reality that my beloved warm days are gone for  another year. While I may not like autumn, I can definitely appreciate it, and this year for the first time I've embraced it throughout our home.  Be forewarned....there are tons of pictures coming up.

Welcome!

After our door got a fun dose of color I couldn't wait to fall-i-fy the front porch!

I liked the idea of an alternate take on the traditional fall wreath so I created a sign using a tree round and some chalkboard paint.  I love that it adds a natural rustic element.

Come on in...

My décor theme was casual chic. I tried to achieve this by keeping things pretty paired down and by incorporating natural elements into our everyday décor throughout. The trees are still mostly green in my neck of the woods, so Ive added little touches of fall since that's authentic to my surroundings.

In the entryway I brought in some antlers and mini pumpkins to dress up the console table.

I draped a vintage sheepskin I picked up at a local antique faire across the stools to create a cozy bench. I may be the only person still holding on to neon, but I love it!  And I love it even more so paired with the sheepskin.

I also brought in subtle touches of fall to our main dining and living areas.

A simple collection of candles, succulents, cacti, and glass jars keeps things casual enough for everyday display in the dining room since we don't have a "formal" dining space.  I used one of my scarves as a runner for a bit of color.  We've been enjoying the faux bois inspired flatware I picked up from World Market a couple months ago as well.

In the family room the name of the game is texture and pattern.

I shared my DIY leaf art project here.

I love using pillows and throws in different colors and textures. I have kilim, faux fur, hide, and chenille all happening in here! Oh and notice the new rug!!  SO excited about it.  I snagged it in the As-Is section at Ikea for $49.50!!  Woop Woop!  I've been eyeing it for a while and even had it pinned on one of my boards so I was so excited to score it at such a great price.

I thought I should probably bring some mums in somewhere so a small arrangement adds color to the coffee table.

Gimme a warm fire, a shelter mag, and a throw on a fall night and I'm a happy girl!

Oh and my little helpers decided to add their contribution to the fall décor, too

Well what do ya know...its more pumpkins! Oh and a creepy looking Jack o lantern courtesy of my 6 yr old!

Thanks so much for stopping by guys. I hope you enjoyed the tour.  I had  a lot of fun finding ways to bring the fall indoors.

Also up today is Whitney from The Curtis Casa.  I cant wait to see her home tour! She has such an effortlessly chic sense of style.  Make sure you head over too. There's only one more day of tours and tomorrow Angela from Number Fifty-three and Jennifer from Brave New Home are finishing us off.
