Happy Tuesday loves. Boy oh Boy the US has been taking a beating on the weather front lately. I know so many of you have been snowed/iced/stormed in for the last few days, and even here in Cali we've been seeing highs in the 40's. I hope everyone is safe and warm and will soon be able to return to school and work.
So remember back when I participated in the Modern and Fresh Fall Home Tour? Well, when my awesome friend Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co. invited me to be part of the Christmas Home Tour blog hop, I couldn't resist.
Yesterday we got a chance to check out some amazing holiday homes from these super talented ladies. If you haven't visited them, you should

Today I'm sharing how we've decided to spruce up our home for the holidays this year. If you're popping over from Jamie's , welcome!
So this year I wanted to keep things really simple, fresh, and edited. Since we don't get snow I wanted to try to bring in as much white and natural elements as possible to create a crisp California winter feel.
Come on in!
I DIYed this obnoxiously large wreath for the front door using a wreath from Micheals, (with a 50% off coupon, of course) some ornaments we already owned, and hot glue.
Both the entryway and kitchen got fresh wreaths embellished with colorful ornaments and neon tipped pine cones!
In the kitchen this year I decided to add a countertop tree to the décor! In our family we don't put up the tree until about a week before Christmas, so in the meantime we've been enjoying this fun little miniature version.
Bry and I strung the popcorn garland and I can honestly say it'll probably never happen again! I love the way it turned out, but it just took forever and we still didn't quite string enough. #aintnobodygottimeforthat
I sprayed on a light dusting of snow in a can to give it a more "winter like effect". I also "snowed" a fresh wreath for the pantry door.
For the family room I went pretty minimalistic and just swapped out our fall pillows for crisp white ones and added a fur throw to the sofa for extra warmth
For our mantle I kept things really natural with lots of candles and fresh greenery
Since we don't put up our stockings until Christmas Eve, I decided to use a bit of garland to hold all our incoming holiday cards.
I hope you all enjoyed the tour. I'm sure I'll be adding a few more festive additions as we get closer to Christmas. Thank you so much again Lindsay for including me, and thank you all for stopping by. Make sure you all check out the other tours in the today's blog hop as well as those coming up.
