Broken

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday loves.  I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was going just fine until this happened

 
 
Your girl over here somehow managed to break her finger while bowling. Only thing is the break didn't actually happen WHILE bowling!  I swear I'm the poster child for freak accidents. 
 
See what had happened was I was reading a menu for the snack bar.  I dropped the menu. Meanwhile, my daughter and her dad were engaging in a celebratory chest bump for a strike that was just made.  He bumped her a little too hard and she stumbled back and landed on my hand at the same time that I reached down to pick up the menu. 

I know, right? Seriously!!  How does that even happen! I'm telling you...only me.
 
Needless to say the universe had found a way to try to slow me down a bit.  Although it is my dominant hand, thankfully my trigger finger is still working just fine so I can spray paint just fine.  All is still well in my world!  While my larger scale projects I had planned are on hold for now, Ill still be tackling some smaller ones. A broken phalange is NOT gonna deter my holiday decorating plans, darnitt! 
 
I'll be headed to the doctor later today for a more permanent setting and I'm hoping he doesn't try to stick me in a cast.  Ill keep you all posted.

    Hope you feel better soon!!! I had second degree burns on my thumb awhile back so I know how you feel, but DIY projects must still go on...lol!

    Ouch! I understand that you don't want a cast, but if recommended cause its what is needed for you to heal, I hope you'll do it. And of course, a cast can be decorated for this festive season, and I know you'd have no problem with that task :) Heal quickly, be well.

    'See what had happen was...' I use this a lot! Get better, take it easy, stop spray painting (lol), eat ice cream, lounge around and get waited on hand and foot. Doctors orders! ;)
