One for Me, One for You: Custom Art via Amy Whited

Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday my loves.  Today I'm hosting my second One for Me, One for You Giveaway and I couldn't be more excited.

Earlier this week I shared with you all our entryway revamp, which by the way id like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you for your amazing support and wonderful comments.  Featured in the post were my two new abstract paintings.

A couple months ago I reached out to the beautiful and talented Mrs. Amy Whited of Yellow Hammer Design Shop to commission a couple pieces of custom art.  I met Amy through Instagram and immediately became a stalker.  I fell in love with the pieces she posted and knew I had to work with her in creating some for our home.  You guys there's so so much talent coming out of Raleigh/ Durham right now.   Amy's malachite tray was even featured in this months issue of HGTV magazine!! Her shop is awesome and I cant wait to get my shop on!  Honestly I should probably go visit my NC family just so I can pop by to visit her and Furbish Studio.  Mom, this may just be what I needed to come back home for a weekend!

From the moment I emailed Amy working with her was amazing.  She was so sweet and made sure I got exactly what I envisioned.  I wanted a pair of 24x30 paintings that related to one another, but weren't exact matches.  I gave her creative freedom to do whatever she wanted but told her I wanted navy, mint, and white as the main colors. She nailed it!

When I contacted her to commission the pieces I also asked if I could purchase a smaller piece to  giveaway as a gift  to my readers. Ya'll know I couldn't forget about you guys!  Amy graciously offered up a custom piece for one lucky reader free of charge!  Thank you so much Amy.

So up for grabs is a 18x24 custom painting on paper from Amy Whited of Yellow Hammer Design Shop.  You may choose any color combo you want.  Here are some other pieces she's created for reference.

That definitely wont be my last time working with Amy.  I love her work.

For your chance to win, all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me where you would put your custom painting.  Bonus entries for following AHFOC on Facebook. Make sure you use the Rafflecopter widget below.  Thats it loves.  Simple as that.  Also, if you aren't following Amy, you should be-she's awesome!

Winner will be announced on Thursday, Sep 19.  Good Luck Everyone!

Until next time...

XoX-Shavonda

*This was not a sponsored post.  I purchased my paintings with my own money. Amy is generously offering a painting for one of my readers. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

  1. Where would I hang such a beauty? Easier to simply say I wouldn't hide it under the bed! Top three locations that come to mind: dining room which has a major need for a color infusion, MB which needs one piece of art to finish a wall, and then there's my foyer which is a total "what's going on in there?" right now ... perhaps a piece of art could inspire :) Robin
